I invite you to take a walk in the footsteps of one of the most extraordinary artists of the 20th century. Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz, known as Witkacy - writer, playwright, painter, art theoretician, philosopher. Born on 24 February 1885 in Warsaw, from the age of five he was connected with Zakopane. However, he was often in Warsaw - he had a wife and friends here, he exhibited his works and gave lectures. Also one of the official addresses of the "Portrait Company" was a Warsaw address. This route covers only the Śródmieście district, although addresses connected with Witkacy can be found in other districts of Warsaw as well. I invite you - and be careful that you don't end up like Isidore:The glare of the Eternal Mystery punched Izydor straight in the mouth, like a luminous buffer of some nebulous monstre-train loaded with the monstrosity of the whole Existence.[S.I. Witkiewicz, The Only Exit].
